On September 10, IFPRI launched the book Agricultural Extension: Global Status and Performance in Selected Countries, edited by Kristin Davis, Suresh Babu, and Catherine Ragasa. The book provides a global overview of agricultural extension and advisory services and assesses and compares extension systems at the national and regional level. It also examines the performance of extension approaches in a selected set of country cases, and shares lessons and policy insights. Covered countries include Brazil, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, and Uganda.
For this virtual event, co-organized by IFPRI Ethiopia and IFPRI Malawi, presenters will offer perspectives and insights based on new data from Ethiopia, Malawi, and Uganda. A panel discussion with multisectoral experts will bring out comparisons between these countries.
