Announcing ECAMA Research Symposium and Call for Abstracts

We are excited to announce the Inaugural Research Symposium of the Economics Association of Malawi. This event will bring together local and international researchers, policy analysts and students to engage on the important theme: “An Economically Independent Malawi is Possible: From Rhetoric to Practice.” The event, hosted by ECAMA with support from IFPRI’s and the Innovations for Poverty Action’s respective country offices, will be held in Lilongwe from 8th to 10th October, 2014. Preceding ECAMA’s annual conference that aims to promote proactive debate among stakeholders on pertinent economic issues in Malawi, the Research Symposium aims to further inform this debate by reviewing and synthesizing current evidence.
