The Call for Abstracts for the Inaugural ECAMA Research Symposium has been extended to July 29th. The Research Symposium, to be held in Lilongwe on 8-10 October 2014, will bring together local and international participants, including researchers, policy analysts and students to promote proactive debate on pertinent economic issues in Malawi by reviewing and synthesizing current evidence. One of the organizers, Country Director of Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), Thomas Chataghalala Munthali, was recently interviewed by the Nyasa Times on the event, describing this as an important pre-event to the Annual ECAMA Conference, scheduled to take place on 16–18 October 2014 in Mangochi.
