The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Research Coordinator for its Malawi office in Lilongwe. The initial contract will be for a period of one year, with a possibility to renew depending on performance and funding.
The ideal candidate will be a Malawian citizen or permanent resident with a master’s degree in economics, statistics, agricultural sciences or a related field and at least 5 years of work experience. (S)he will be a competent manager of large-scale fieldwork operations, be competent at working with large databases in statistical software, have a good understanding of agriculture and rural development in Malawi, and an ability to express complicated analytical findings to non-scientist but expert audiences.
