The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Project Manager for its Malawi office in Lilongwe.
As a Project Manager, you will manage complex data collection exercises and other field research activities aimed at informing development policy in Malawi. This involves managing coordinated actions across diverse groups, such as researchers, development partners, project implementers, policy makers and other stakeholders. You will independently manage core components of the research process, including IRB applications, survey instrument design, coding CAPI applications, managing operational logistics for data collection with large teams of interviewers and ensuring the delivery of clean and reliable data. Your excellent management skills should be complemented by a strong understanding of the challenges facing agriculture in Malawi, as well as the policies currently in place to address them. Additionally, you will need a basic understanding of research methods, including those used in randomized control trials.
