The MAZIKO Project was launched in November 2021 and its aim was to generate rigorous evidence on the impact and cost effectiveness of a multi-sectoral cash plus for nutrition and child development intervention. The project is led by Save the Children in partnership with Give Directly and the International Food Policy and Research Institute (IFPRI) and the government of Malawi at national and district level. It was implemented in Ntcheu and Balaka districts and reached 42,000 households with pregnant women and children under 5 years. The project includes a four-arm Cluster Randomized Trial which was completed in July 2025. The main objective of this event is to present the findings from the trial and generate recommendations for policy, programming, and future research.
