The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development in collaboration with the World Bank and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), is pleased to invite you to a stakeholder validation workshop on the Food System–Climate Action Plan (FS-CAP).
The FS-CAP is a country-level diagnostic tool developed by the World Bank to support countries in identifying climate vulnerabilities and greenhouse gas emission sources within their food systems. The tool is intended to guide targeted policy and investment decisions, as well as mobilize climate finance towards building climate-resilient and low-emission food systems.
The workshop will provide a platform to present and validate the findings of Malawi ‘s FS-CAP with its focus on climate-resilient and low-emission food system transformation, capture stakeholder perspectives on priority, concerns, alignments with other initiatives, and opportunities across different groups, and strengthen consensus on the way forward for the finalization and implementation of the FS-CAP.
