To disseminate the findings of two IFPRI Malawi led research studies, ACE organized a dissemination event on December 5, 2019 in Lilongwe. The event was attended by more than 70 participants from academia, civil society, the development partners, NGOs, government, and the private sector.

This working paper provides an updated analysis of the dietary patterns of Malawian households and their consumption of select nutrients – calories, protein, iron, vitamin A, zinc, and folate – using data from the third (2010/11) and fourth (2016/17) rounds of the Malawi Integrated Household Survey (IHS).

Data collection for the ‘Building Resilience and Adapting to Climate Change’ (BRACC) Programme in Malawi
Second in a series of blog posts exploring IFPRI Malawi’s engagement in the ‘Building Resilience and Adapting to Climate Change’ Programme in Malawi.
After a four-day enumerator training, the baseline survey started in late August with a group of 48 enumerators organized into eight teams. The baseline survey, covering 224 villages and 3,136 households, was completed on October 10, 2019.

IFPRI Malawi together with consultants from Imani Development conducted a four-day training workshop in Blantyre from August 5-8, 2019. 53 people (45 enumerators and 8 field supervisors) were trained on the content and use of the questionnaires.
